Tigersharks 2021 Update + Interest Survey - Please Respond!
Dear Tigershark Families,
We are not sure about you, but we miss the water! It has been an incredibly trying year, and if at all possible, we'd like to get the kids back in the water this summer. We are engaged in planning conversations with Coach Max, but we still need approval from the University to make the summer a reality. We still have a lot of work to do, and we need to hear from you as soon as possible!
This form is meant gauge your interest in having your family be a part of the Tigersharks this summer. This is not a commitment, and again, we cannot promise anything to you all yet. However, with each day that passes, we feel more confident that we can provide a safe and fun summer swimming experience for our Tigersharks!
As you consider your interest, here are a few things we'd like to share:
- Swimming is an activity that promotes health and well-being for the athletes.
- The pool has minimal touchable surfaces.
- Chlorine is a disinfectant that kills the novel coronavirus when chlorine levels are 3-8 ppm and pH levels are 7.2-
8.0.
- Social distancing will be practiced both in and out of the pool.
- Swimmers will wear masks at all times unless in the water.
- All high-touch areas of the pool will be cleaned between practice sessions.
- Though no plans have been made yet, the Tigersharks are considering intrasquad meets, virtual meets, and
other ways to safely compete against other teams.
Again, this form does not commit you to anything for the summer nor does it promise that we can have a season. However, this will be a huge help to us as we consider the possibilities.
Thank you all so much, and we hope to be back in touch soon. Please respond as soon as possible!
Sincerely,
John Noffsinger, Head Coach
Marion Knoll, Board President
